Voting With God Or Against Him?

In my writings I have purposely avoided politics. Why? I personally hate confrontation and arguments. I have always said, “There are two areas where you cannot win an argument . . . politics and religion.” So, I have avoided politics. Religion is my area of profession, so I cannot avoid religion. All of my writings are somehow related to religion, or more accurately Christianity, because this is my business . . . my profession, if you please.

Recently, Lorraine said to me that we must write about the condition of the nation, and I realized she is exactly right. I cannot avoid politics any longer, because the condition of our country is now desperate. The destiny of the United States is hanging in the balance, more so than any time in my lifetime. Additionally, if you honestly examine the Old Testament, the mission of the prophets, God’s spokespersons, was always directly related to the leadership of the nations, or simply put . . . politics.

If I continue to avoid discussing the chaotic condition of government in our beloved country, the United States, I would be a hypocrite of the worst kind.

So, here goes . . .

Satan is trying to destroy our country. He seems to be throwing the entirety of his arsenal into the effort. He is trying to tear down every semblance of God’s institutions that keep peace and order in society, namely 1) the individual conscience, 2) the authority of the parents in the family, especially the father, 3) the authority in society placed there for the safety and wellbeing of that society, the police, and 4) the church, which is supposed to serve as the delivery vehicle to society of God’s moral principles clearly set forth in the Bible.

The individual conscience has been numbed or silenced by Hollywood and the secular media. A little less than 5% of the people of Hollywood hold Christian, Bible-based values. The authority of the parents in the family has been sabotaged by the brain washing of Hollywood*, the secular media, and our educational system. Regular attendance of the population to an evangelical or charismatic church is now 5.1 percent,** so where in the world are parents to learn about God’s principles of morality?

Now Democratic governors and mayors have defunded the police, which has resulted in double the murders in their cities (New York and Minneapolis), while they personally hire bodyguards to protect themselves at the expense of the taxpayers. They have taken away protection to their citizens while refusing to subject themselves to the same danger. Lastly, the government has sought to shut down church services in violation of the first amendment to the constitution.

John McCarther, of California, a nationally known Christian radio personality, with a huge following among conservative Christians, has defied the governor of California by continuing to hold full blown church services. The people have come of their own volition and each week more come. There are presently about 7,000 that come to church on Sunday and there is no social distancing. To his knowledge, no one is sick.

He sites statistics to defend his position. GET THIS PEOPLE, AND GET THIS GOOD! There are 40 million people in California. There have been 8,500 deaths of people with COVID (they died with COVID, not necessarily of COVID). The percentage rate of deaths in California with COVID is .002 percent. In California, your chances of dying from COVID is approximately 1 in 4,700.

In San Francisco, they allow only one person in a church at a time. . . but the casinos are open. Are they afraid of us?

Now I am, going to address you, the individual, about the coming election, and I beg you to examine the facts, be honest with yourself, listen to your conscience and honestly reckon with and educate yourself as to what God says about His moral law in the Bible. When we claim to be Christians and stand against God’s moral law, that is the height of hypocrisy.

Pay attention, because in the next paragraph I am going to demonstrate what the hypocrisy of adult Christians has spawned.

We have lost our children to the secular, Godless thinking of our society. Reliable research shows that regular attendance of those 35 and under to an evangelical or charismatic church is less than one percent. If you expand that figure to all churches, the percentage is less than three percent.*** There are three top reasons young people give when asked why they left the church. One is that the service is boring, another is legalism, and the other one is hypocrisy by the adults.****

This election will determine the fate of our nation, I believe permanently. It is the most important election by far, in my lifetime. The evangelical church could easily determine the results of the election, and 40 percent of evangelicals are not registered to vote. This indicates the greatest disease, which I think is a fatal disease, of the church . . . apathy!

I urge you, please, to examine your hearts honestly. If you claim to be a Christian, how can you vote against God’s morality? Perhaps it is because you don’t know what the Bible says, which I find is the case with a very high percentage of people who say they are Christians.

Then read it! Read the Bible! Start with Romans 1!

Now, I am going to be pointed, and spell it out for you.

Abortion is the number one plaque, and judgement hanging over this nation. Abortion is murder! Abortion is taking the lives of innocent human beings who cannot defend themselves. Every four minutes a baby is murdered in our country. Partial birth abortion is butchery, that if you witnessed, you would quite likely lose your lunch over in utter horror. The head of a live, beautiful baby, while still in the birth canal, is punctured and the brains are sucked, vacuumed out! 3,000 to 5,000 babies have their brains pulled out each year. What kind of monsters have we become?

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil,

Who put darkness for light and light for darkness,

who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

Isaiah 5:20 (ESV)

*Talledega Nights is a movie that openly and blatantly ridicules the authority of the family elders. I know many young people who think this is a really cool movie.

Remember to go vote on November 3

He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught,

so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine

and also to rebuke those who contradict it.
